It's the beginning of November and you know how close we are to the holidays?
Are you hosting Thanksgiving or Christmas this year? Have you thought about your Christmas list and even started shopping yet? I am not a procrastinator, but I definitely have not even put a dent in my shopping. Yes, I have bought a couple things. But don't have a clue on what to buy everyone. I have tried not to pressure myself on buying a gift for everyone in my life; I get a few things for my close friends and family, send a few cards and enjoy the festivities. Putting excess stress on yourself defeats the purpose of enjoying the Holidays and causes your cortisol to rise. When your cortisol levels are increased, your body holds on to toxins,; you can't shed the excess weight, even though you are eating healthy and exercising, you may not be able to sleep although you may feel tired, and your skin may be breaking out. There are so many ways of distressing. Take up yoga. Meditation and breathing exercises are a great way to free your brain of clutter. When you breathe deep, oxygen helps to get into your brain, so you can relax and release those unwanted toxins. Certain essential oils and teas will also help. Try Arbonne's lavender oil or detox herbal tea before you go to bed and just chill!
